Q2. What are the most common Dial Up Networking errors for USB Modem connections?
Ans.: For USB Modem connections-
Since the USB modem uses the Windows Dial Up Networking interface, a virtual Dial Up connection is established between the system and the VSNL. The following sections describe some common errors that indicate problems with the connection.
- "Error 650 - Server is not Responding" or "The Computer You Are Dialing in to Cannot Establish a Dial-Up Networking Connection"
Runtime error 650 is a generic connection error meaning that the computer could not establish a connection with the VSNL network. The most common cause could be related to cabling or VSNL's equipment
- " Error 691"Access Denied" This is due to an invalid username and/or password being used to connect to the service. Retype the username and password and try again. Remember - the password is case-sensitive
- "Error 633 - The modem is not installed or configured for Dial-Up Networking"
This relates to a device driver problem, or unavailability of a dial up adapter installed in the system
Q3. If ADSL LED does not light up in the USB modem?
